This long, narrow garden was divided into ‘rooms’
This very long and narrow garden was divided up into ‘rooms’- a terrace for dining nearest the house, a lawned area for the client’s daughter to play in the middle and a deck area for sunbathing at the end. Having the path leading diagonally across the garden emphasizes its width rather than length. The garden is overlooked by the neighbours on one side, so a trellis fence was erected to give privacy whilst not blocking too much light. Once planting is established the whole look will be softer. This design was implemented by Adrian Wyn.
